5 Seconds of Texting….to a Better Day!

Ok…so the morning started out good, then went way down hill from there. You know, teenage drama queen and stressed-out mom. As usual we had an argument on the way to school. I felt terrible, I can tell she was mad as heck at me. Ugh…So mid-morning I sent her a text saying “I love you sweetpea.” I got a text right back from her saying she loved me too…..(big sigh) I FELT so much better and I think she did too. It took seconds to make a better day for both of us! Most everyone knows I am NOT a huge fan of texting if it is not welcome, in fact, it can be quite annoying, but I knew this was the right thing to do. So was the bubble bath this evening…no stress in my life tonight. Of course, the night is still young!

Oh…and for you handbag snobs like myself…one of the lovely Twolia bloggers, Fashion’s Side dish: Boots, Bags, Baubles and more, had this on her blog today…totally awesome and a have-to-have someday.

Why isn’t Monday, Friday?

That was one short weekend and this will be one long week. GoldCalJr. Volleyball was ALL day Saturday and although lots of fun to watch, it does make the weekend go by too fast. Leaving Sunday for housecleaning, laundry, shopping, etc. no wonder I am tired already! While I read up on all those Twolia & Blogger blogs I love to follow (check out my blogroll…I am still updating), I still have to find time to write my own.  I am Twittering these days…you can find me here TwoliaDeb. OK…I am getting tech-ier (is that a real word?)  by the day…but shopping is still my first love! I want to get the Twilight book series at Amazon soon. I am sure I can make some time to read these…Caitlin may like them too. Who knows.? Anyway….Is it bedtime yet???

One Long-ass Day…

Girlfriends….This has been one long-ass day for me. After working like a dog for the last few weeks getting ready for the big Twolia email blast….it was finally sent and I am soooo glad. Our stats for the emails are good, so everyone should be pleased, I know I am. Caitlin will be glad her Mom is back and off the laptop in the evenings. I am a bit compulsive when it comes to work, deadlines, and getting the job done. Maybe the last three years of school are so ingrained in my brain-there is no going back to the good-ol’ days of movies and fluffy shows at night. So tonight is AI night and Caitlin and I usually check it out. The only reality show we both do watch, otherwise only CSI-type shows work for me these days. A couple Coronita Extra’s and I am good to go…

We are Almost there!!!

My dear friends, family, and whoever else is out there reading my junk. I am sick, yes…I finally have surcomb to a nasty cold (or whatever) and my head feels like shit. Ok…Enough of the sniveling. I have been working non-stop on the new website Twolia.com and two of the seven portals will be opening Wednesday. The music and online shopping mall BETA SITES are looking for talented women to join…check out the new video here created to accelerate the excitement. It IS EXCITING…I haven’t had so much fun working in years. Nothing like a little busy work to keep your mind of the other parts that are not.

Now, since I have been up working since 5:00 am I am just about done for the day. I must say that bubble bath will come in handy tonight to relax the limbs and unstuff the nose. I do have a fun share though. Fashion Fix, a fellow Twolia girlfriend posted these pants on her site a few weeks back on Laura’s ‘Must buy’ for Jan!. Well, I purchased them also from Asos.com and have them on today…They are awesome tucked into boots and were a steal for about $20.00. They did come from the UK and took forever to get here though…

I am Still Here…Just Working Hard

Hey my lady friends and family too. I have not been trying to neglect my duties here, but I have been extremely busy with work these last few days. As many of you know, I am working for Twolia, Inc. and the new site is getting ready to launch its Music & Store BETA sites. I am so excited, I am up at the crack of dawn working on getting the word out and reading up on how-to…until very late as well. I am writing another blog, Twolia Press where I will be creating news releases for submission to all the social media sites. Ya know…del.icio.us, DIGG, Technorati, and I even yuck it up on Twitter (you can follow me there) these days. Yes…I am becoming a web geek, no pocket protector yet though!!!!

I am less stressed about life in general these days, which is a good thing. Yeah…I did let Caitlin wear a pair of my Lucky Brand jeans to school today to prevent a major meltdown- 5 minutes before we were to leave this morning. I am praying they come back to me in good condition.

I am so bummed I missed the Switch and Bitch on Friday. For those who do not know what this is, please note…You go through your wardrobe (accessories too)  take all the stuff that doesn’t fit anymore or you just don’t like, meet with your girlfriends who have done the same, put everything together, and everyone picks what they like from the pile. If it fits, its yours. Like shopping for free!! Plus, you get some Spring cleaning done at the same time! Lots of fun…as there may be a bit of fighting over the good stuff. A really fun way to try something new.

First, a much needed Thank You to my friends and family who have commented on my previous blogs. I am getting the hang of this and the doors of opportunity continue to expand as I learn more about social networking, blogging, and viral marketing on the web. I was lucky enough to catch the very last part of a webinar on, HubSpot, this morning and my subject line, “Viral Marketing: How to Create a Worldwide Rave” by David Meerman Scott. Funny thing, I had just purchased a book last week by him, “The New Rules of Marketing & PR” at Amazon.com and was anticipating listen to him this morning. But, YOU KNOW how my mornings go right? Of all things to happen, the power went off at 9:00 this morning (stupid snow) right when the webinar started. You can’t image my disappointment. I was truly bummed, but I will get a copy of the presentation, though its just not the same as live coverage. This guy is a genius. Those who know me, know Marketing is my passion and this guy has it going on!!! His book is my idea of pleasure reading! I know, I am becoming a geek, but when I am a gazillionaire, no one will be giving me a bad time!!! All this is in the building, and anticipation of the launching of the awesome new company I work for, Twolia, Inc. – a website for creative and entreprenural women to sell their music and handmade products or whatever.
